I like seeing the process creatives go through. Show me the pencil sketches drawn on coffee stained napkins. I dig it.
If you’re like me, this post is for you. Here are ideas I explored for the logo for MakeYourWebsiteSell.com.
Sometimes, I get off on a tangent. Usually, there is an idea that looks good in my head, but doesn’t work on paper (or on screen). But I can’t shake the idea until I’ve at least tried it. I’ll follow the idea for awhile. But sometimes, as in this case, the idea doesn’t work and I’m forced to abandon it.
These four artboards represent the final ideas. I knew I was close. But I was still exploring a few alterations to the idea.
Even once I get to the final logo, I’m sure there are better ideas. But I have to remind myself that perfectionism is a weakness, not a strength.
