A Good Game for Newbies
I’ve always wanted to get into Magic: The Gathering. However, I’m too late to the party. MTG has years of history and strategy behind it. And it’s daunting to consider all the time and money it would take for me to get up to speed.
So when I heard about Keyforge I was excited. Not only am I getting in on the ground floor, but Keyforge also removes a big obstacle that Magic: The Gathering had for me. You can’t trade cards. The decks come pre-built and it’s up to the player to make the most of them. I liked that because it puts a newbie on more even ground with a longtime player.

On of the challenges with Keyforge is keeping track of changing variables. There are plenty of pre-made options, but I wanted to make my own. Here are
Final Keyforge Tokens
These were designed in Adobe Illustrator. The shapes were cut out of vinyl and applied to 1/8″ white PVC material. A laminate was applied to the face to keep the vinyls finer details from coming up. The shapes were cut out by hand.
