Simply put this video is art. Period.
I realize it doesn’t fit our typical concept of art. We usually think of Rembrandt or Leonardo Da Vinci. Not a Youtube video of bicycle tricks.
But it is.
And what makes this art so interesting is how it combines various disciplines. Contained in this video are the arts of Cinematography, Choreography, Color Theory, Music, and of course, Bicycle tricks.
And what’s more this is exactly the art that snubs the Modernist in all of his utilitarian convictions. This is art for nothing but pleasure.
It won’t educate you. It won’t make you a better person. It doesn’t even do a very good job of selling you anything.
It will simply enthrall you … that is if you let it. So enjoy, the pleasure of art. And remember it is good.
